She has vast experience in Paediatrics of about 22 years. She has worked in different Paediatric Specialities like Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Endocrinology etc. She has gained vast experience in diagnosis and management of various childhood illnesses while during post graduation at KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She has also worked for 4 years at BJ Medical College and Sassoon General hospitals, Pune and gained further clinical, supervisory and academic experience here. Thereafter she worked in Womens and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide and Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, Australia in various specialities including Paediatric Emergency, Paediatric endocrinology, Paediatric Pulmonology , Paediatric Neurology etc . Dr Ujjwala has several journal publications and has also done a Cochrane review. She has done several courses like NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Programme), PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support), Breast feeding Courses, PGPN (Post Graduate Course in Paediatric Nutrition) and ENS (Early nutrition Specialist).
