Infectious Diseases
Infectious diseases are the invasion of a host by microorganisms, often called microbes that are invisible to the naked eye. An infectious disease or communicable disease is caused by a biological agent such as by a virus, bacteria or parasite. Microbes that cause illness are also known as pathogens. The most common pathogens are various bacteria and viruses, though a number of other microorganisms, including some kinds of fungi and protozoa, also cause disease. An infectious disease is termed contagious if it is easily transmitted from one person to another. Our isolation facilities help keep the diseases contained during treatment

Geriatric Care
Our professional geriatric care management is a holistic, client-centered approach to caring for older adults or others facing ongoing health challenges. Working with families, our experts provide answers at a time of uncertainty. Their guidance leads families to the actions and decisions that ensure quality care and an optimal life for those they love, thus reducing worry, stress and time off of work for family caregivers through:
• Assessment and monitoring
• Planning and problem-solving
• Education and advocacy
• Family caregiver coaching

Preventive medicine and Vaccinations

The aim of preventive medicine is the absence of disease, either by preventing the occurrence of a disease or by halting a disease and averting resulting complications after its onset. One of the ways of preventing diseases is by Vaccination. Vaccination is the deliberate administration of virus, or bacteria, in order to immunize the system and prepare it to fight a future infection. Unlike the early attempts at preventing disease, modern vaccines deliver only tiny amounts of inactivated or weakened viruses or bacteria, or parts of them. This allows the immune system to recognize the organism without actually experiencing the disease

HIV counseling and treatment
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV damages the immune system, thus, interfering with the body’s ability to fight the organisms that cause disease.
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV damages the immune system, thus, interfering with the body’s ability to fight the organisms that cause disease.
There’s no cure for HIV/AIDS, but there are medications that can dramatically slow the progression of the disease. These drugs have reduced AIDS deaths in many developed nations. But HIV continues to decimate populations in Africa, Haiti and parts of Asia. While there is no cure for HIV/AIDS, a variety of drugs can be used in combination to control the virus. Each of the classes of anti-HIV drugs blocks the virus in different ways.
At Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital we not only provide treatment, but also counselling to patients and relatives of HIV/AIDS patients, in order to help understand and deal with this life taking disease.

Hypertension Clinic
Hypertension is also referred to as high blood pressure. It is a condition in which the arteries have persistently elevated blood pressure. Every time the human heart beats, it pumps blood to the whole body through the arteries. Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing up against the blood vessel walls. The higher the pressure the harder the heart has to pump.
Hypertension can lead to damaged organs, as well as several illnesses, such as renal failure (kidney failure), aneurysm, heart failure, stroke, or heart attack.
The Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital clinic for hypertension helps patients effectively deal with hypertension and its effects.
